Maru Company (“we,” “us,” or “the Company”) complies with applicable laws, including the Personal Information Protection Act and related regulations, and establishes and publishes this Privacy Policy to protect users’ personal information and rights.

1. Categories of information we collect and how

We do not operate a separate sign-up or membership process. However, the following types of information may be generated and stored to provide the service:

Game records: High scores, play statistics, and nickname-style information shown on leaderboards.
Device and app identifiers: Game records may be stored on Google Firebase (“Firebase”) servers together with an anonymous unique identifier (random ID) saved on the device when the app is installed. This ID is designed not to be linked to your real name or phone number; deleting app data or reinstalling may issue a new ID.
Technical and usage information: Device model, OS version, app version, language, and approximate region derived from IP (for stability and abuse prevention).
Leaderboard nickname prefix: The app may call ipapi.co (over HTTPS) to read a two-letter country code from the response, used only to form a display nickname (for example KR_1234). How ipapi.co processes IP addresses is described in their policies. We do not use this solely to track you across unrelated sites.
Advertising identifiers: Advertising IDs required by platforms such as Google AdMob (e.g., GAID/IDFA) may be collected and used (see Section 3).

Notice regarding Firebase storage
Although there is no membership sign-up, your game records (such as high scores) may be stored securely on Firebase servers together with a unique device (installation) identifier to provide the service (leaderboards, statistics, and quality improvements). Recovering the same records after app deletion or device change may not be possible.

2. Purposes of use

Providing the game, saving records, and operating leaderboards.
Improving quality, analyzing errors, and preventing abuse.
Fulfilling legal obligations and handling disputes.

3. Ads (AdMob) and advertising IDs

We may show ads using the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). In doing so, Google and partners may, among other things:

Collect and use advertising identifiers (for personalized or non-personalized ad delivery and measurement).
Process data for ad delivery and performance analysis, such as impressions and clicks.

For details on how Google handles personal data, see Google’s Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). You may limit ad personalization or reset advertising IDs in your device settings where available.

4. Retention and deletion

We delete collected information without undue delay after the purposes of collection are achieved, except where retention is required by law. Data stored in Firebase is managed according to our internal policies and technical measures.

5. Disclosure and processors

We do not sell your personal information. For service operation, we may engage the following as processors:

Google Firebase: Cloud infrastructure such as storage and hosting.
Google AdMob: Ad delivery and measurement.

6. Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing of your personal information, and we will respond without undue delay. Because storage may rely on anonymous IDs, we may ask for the minimum information needed to verify your request.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect personal information, including access controls, encryption where applicable, and data minimization.

8. Changes to this Privacy Policy

If this Policy changes, we will notify you through in-service notices or by updating this page.
